2nd grade is planning an exciting event for your child next week! (Feb 2nd-6th) Students will be asked to become 'producers' and 'consumers'. Our students will have to produce/ create items at school that they can sell to classmates. They will also get the opportunity to be consumers and buy items other students have made. Please start talking to your child at home about things they could easily make at school. Students in years past have made things such as: greeting cards, valentines, origami, bracelets, jewelry, bookmarks, fans, masks...
We will be providing play money for your student, and provide some materials like construction paper, cotton balls, pipe cleaners, crayons.
If you know your child may want to use a particular item (like beads or rubber bands) they are free to bring those to school next week for the project.
