Classroom Management:
As a school and grade level, we highly encourage the "positives". When we see students doing a great job staying on task, being a great helper, or even being encouraging to another student, we want to praise them for being student leaders.
Classroom Rewards System: For for individuals, we reward students with bird tracks. Teachers in 2nd grade also like to use Dojo Points (electronic version of bird tracks). With bird tracks they could buy rewards such as a "free homework pass" or "shoes off pass". Prices are different depending on the reward. For whole group, we often do lunch and movie date with teacher, a special treat, or maybe even bubbles outside. The students can also vote on whole class rewards.
School Wide Rewards System: Students can be saving up their bird tracks and buy things at the School Store. Students can also save their bird tracks to gain access to special activity events. More things coming soon!
