Week of May 23rd to May 26th


Important Dates:
May 27th and 30th are student holidays.
June 1st is the celebration of learning at 9:30am 
The celebration of learning is an awards ceremony.** 
June 1st Wednesday, end of the year parties (2:30pm-3:15pm)
June 2nd is the last day of school (no backpacks)

This week we are learning:

Math:  Students will begin working with multiplication. They will see that multiplication is just repeated addition. We will practice representing multiplication sentences in different ways such as arrays and repeated addition. 

Science: We will continue our unit on animals and their environments. Students will learn more about  adaptations that animals have that help them survive. Students will work on their animal research report. 

Reading:Authors Study, studying plot, theme, central message, yearly review

Writing: your're and your (homophones), writing a fractured fairy tale, author celebration,  yearly review

Social Studies: Holidays and celebrations, yearly review
