This week we are learning:

Math:  Students will continue with fractions early in the week and will have an accumulative assessment for the fourth nine weeks over problem solving, geometry and fractions. 

Science: We will continue our unit on animals and their environments. Students will learn more about  adaptations that animals have that help them survive. Students will have their accumulative assessment for the fourth nine weeks early in the week. Students will be creating their own animal with three adaptations and creating a report over it. 

Reading:Authors Study

Writing: your're and your (homophones), writing a fractured fairy tale

Social Studies: Holidays and celebrations

Important Dates:
Friday May 20th is Field Day
Thursday May 26th Golden Ticket event
May 27th and 30th are student holidays.
June 1st is the celebration of learning and End of the year parties
June 2nd is the last day of school
